Solemn Rosary and Feast of Our Lady of Rosary

We celebrate our ten days' Rosary and October devotion with the feast of Our Lady of Rosary from 12 to 21st October 2017. This year it is in preparation for the Abhishekagni convention around the Eparchy from 22to 29th October in different regions. It is led by our family units.  

Day of Thanksgiving 9th October 2017

We have the joy of celebrating the first Anniversary of the Eparchy and of the episcopal consecration of Bishop Mar Joseph Srampickal. It is a day of thanksgiving and pastoral consultation. The thanksgiving High Mass starts at 11.00 am at the Cathedral and our Bishop Mar Joseph Srampickal will officiate the celebration. His Grace Mar Kurian Vayalumkal, the Nuncio of Papa Nuoeva Guinea is giving the homily during the Celebration. After the Agape, there will be meeting of the priests and of the Kaikkarans of the different Mass centres. All are cordially welcomed.  

Feast of St Alphonsa on 28th July at 6.00pm

The feast of St Alphonsa of Immaculate Conception, the patroness of the Eparchy and the Parish is celebrated on Friday 28th July 2017 at 6.00 pm. Solemn celebration will be led by our Bishop Mar Joseph Srampickal. All are cordially invited. It is the day of the announcement of the Eparchy and the Bishop.

Eparchial Walsingham Pilgrimage on 16th July

Feast of Our lady of Mount Carmel is the day of the erection of the Eparchy. It was on this day of last year the Holy Father Pope Francis has signed the Bulls erecting the Eparchy of Syro Malabar faithful in Great Britain with its see in Preston and appointing Mar Joseph Srampickal as its first Bishop. It has been announced on the feast of St Alphonsa on 28th July last year. On this day we make a pilgrimage to Walsingham to thank the Lord for this precious gift through the Mother of mount Carmel. the pilgrimage starts at 5.00 am in the morning from the Cathedral. We hope to be back by 9.30pm.    

Abhisheka sayannam led by Rev Arun Kalamattam

On 13th July 2017 ministry led by Rev Fr Arun Kalamattam will be held at the Cathedral from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm. All are cordially invited. The representatives and volunteers will be present from different mass centers. It is in preparation for the Abhishekagni Convention.... Come let us be prepared...  

Puthunjayar on 23rd April

The celebration of Puthunjayar and the Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated with stations of the Cross at 10.00 am and High mass at 11.00am. Holy Mass is celebrated at 5.30 pm after an hour of adoration from 4.30 pm.

Resurrection of Our Lord

The Solemn celebration of the resurrection of Our Lord (vigil) is celebrated at 7.00 pm on Saturday 15th April. Great blessings to all People and the entire Universe is imparted.

Great Saturday

The blessing of the Water and Fire is celebrated with the renewal of the baptismal promises at 9.30 am. great moment to renew our life and faith.....

Good Friday on 14th April

The passion of the Lord on Good Friday is celebrated with the service of the passion and stations of the Cross at 10.00am on 14th April 2017 and ends with the sharing the food of fasting and abstinence.

Maundy Thursday

Washing of the feet and the Lords Supper celebration of the Pesaha begins at 6.00 pm and ends with the cutting of the Pesaha bread and the distribution of the Holy Milk.

Great Wednesday

On great Wednesday evening special confessors are available after the Mass of 6.00 pm. it is a time of preparation for the Easter Triduum.  

40th day of the Lent Friday

First Friday and the 40th day of the Lent is celebrated at 6.00 pm. on 7th April 2017. Holy Mass with passion reflections and solemn stations of the Cross.

Palm Sunday

The Palm Sunday Celebration starts at 9.30 am in the Cathedral. Bishop Mar Joseph is the celebrant. Indian palms will be distributed.....evening mass at 5.30 after the Adoration of 4.30 pm.

Christmas Services

The Christmas service on 24th December will start at 8.45 pm with The Nativity play, followed by the Mass.

On Christmas day, there will only be one Mass, which will be in the morning at 9.00 am.   

The Feast of The Immaculate Conception

The Feast of The Immaculate Conception is celebrated on Thursday 8th of December at The Cathedral. It starts at 6.00 pm with Solemn Mass followed by an hour of Exposition.

  Carol service starts on the 16/12/16.
  Carol service will begin at 6.00 pm and the family units and days are as follows:

  • 17/12/16 - St. Mary's & St. Maria Goretti
  • 18/12/16 - St. Alphonsa & St. Chavara

  • 23/12/16 - St. Joseph and St. Mother Theresa
  On Carol Service days, Mass will be at 5.00 pm.

Three Vicar Generals to the Syro Malabar Epachy of Great Britain

Bishop mar Joseph Srampickal has appointed Rev Dr Thomas Parayadiyil, Rev Fr Sajimon Malayilputhenpurayil and Rev Dr Mathew Choorapoikayil as the first Vicar Generals of the Eparchy.

We welcome the Bishop-Elect Mar Joseph Srampickal on 18th Sept. at 5.00pm.
